Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

TensaStudio is a computational shade sail design tool. References to "TensaStudio", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to the operator of this service. For privacy enquiries, contact privacy@tensastudio.app.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account email address — collected when you create an account, used for authentication and account recovery.
• Password — stored as a secure hash; we never store your password in plain text.
• Project data — your sail geometry, anchor coordinates, and design parameters are stored in your browser (localStorage) and, if you save a project, in your account storage. We do not analyse your design data for any purpose other than delivering the service to you.

We do not collect:

• Behavioural analytics or usage tracking
• IP addresses for profiling
• Device fingerprints
• Any data through advertising or third-party tracking scripts

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your session
• Store and retrieve your saved projects
• Process payments if you purchase a plan (via Stripe — see Section 4)
• Send transactional emails (email confirmation, password reset)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

TensaStudio uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your email address and hashed password are stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — payment processing. If you purchase a plan, your payment details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. See Stripe Privacy Policy.

No other third-party scripts, analytics platforms, or advertising networks are loaded by this application.

5. Cookies and Session Storage

TensaStudio uses a single session cookie set by Supabase for authentication purposes. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track your activity across websites.

We do not use:

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Advertising or retargeting cookies
• Any third-party tracking scripts

Your browser's localStorage is used to remember your design state and cookie notice dismissal. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Right to data portability — you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to object — you may object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Payment records may be retained longer where required by applicable law.
