Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TensaStudio (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Service Description

TensaStudio is a computational design tool for shade sail geometry, panel layout, and fabrication pattern generation. It is analogous to CAD software: it performs geometric calculations and produces design outputs based on the parameters you provide.

The Service generates:

3D surface geometry and panel layouts
2D cut patterns for fabric panels
Technical reports, structural estimates, and detail plans
DXF and PDF export files

All outputs are produced by computational algorithms and have not been reviewed or certified by a licensed structural engineer.

3. User Responsibility — Important

      All structural decisions, compliance with local building regulations, material selection, and installation safety are the sole responsibility of the user. TensaStudio outputs are for design guidance only and do not constitute structural engineering certification.
    

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

Any structural estimates produced by the Service (including anchor forces, cable tensions, and post loads) are preliminary approximations only and must be reviewed by a qualified structural engineer before construction.
Local building regulations, planning permissions, and safety standards vary by jurisdiction and are your sole responsibility to identify and comply with.
Material selection, fabric grade, hardware specifications, and installation methods are your responsibility. TensaStudio does not verify that suggested specifications are appropriate for your specific conditions.
Wind, snow, and other environmental load calculations are indicative only and may not reflect actual conditions at your site.
You should not proceed with fabrication or installation based solely on TensaStudio outputs without independent professional verification where required by law or good engineering practice.

4. Plans and Billing

TensaStudio is available under the following plans:

Free — $0, no account required. Includes full 3D sail design and panel layout. No export functionality.
Export Pass — $19 one-time payment per project. Includes Technical Report PDF, Structure Report PDF, Detail Plans PDF, and project save.
Studio — $49/month subscription. Includes all PDF exports, unlimited projects, and re-downloads.
Pro — $99/month subscription. Includes everything in Studio plus DXF export, nesting DXF, and multi-sail workspace.

Cancellation: Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the current billing period already paid.

Prices are shown in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual Property

Your designs: You retain full ownership of the designs, measurements, and outputs you create using TensaStudio. We claim no intellectual property rights over your design data or exported files.

Our software: TensaStudio, including its source code, algorithms, visual design, documentation, and brand, is owned by the operator of this Service. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own purposes during your subscription or free access period. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the software.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

TensaStudio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We are not liable for any structural failures, injuries, property damage, or other harm arising from structural decisions made using this software.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain and the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence within the EU.
